Derya Acar Kaldırım

Derya has 20 years of experience in auditing, internal controls, risk management, and compliance. Since 2023, she has been leading the Internal Audit Department at Borusan Holding while also serving as Secretary General of the Ethics and Compliance Committee. She manages audit, internal control, risk management, and data analytics processes across the Holding’s operations in 14 countries with an international team.

Prior to Borusan, she served as a Partner in Risk Advisory at EY Turkey, leading numerous large-scale projects in internal audit, risk management, GRC, and digital transformation. She began her career in risk advisory at PwC Istanbul, also working in London and Milan on multinational audit and consulting projects.

Derya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Istanbul Technical University and a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems from Boğaziçi University. Throughout her career, she has led governance framework implementations, process optimization initiatives, and risk management projects across various sectors, while actively contributing to trainings, speaking engagements, and industry events. She is married and has one child.
