Erdem is a graduate of Boğaziçi University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in 2007 and a Master of Arts degree in Finance and Economics in 2009. Erdem began his professional career at Marsh McLennan in 2007. He progressed through roles, lastly serving as a Manager at Marsh Risk Consulting in 2014. His expertise in consulting was further solidified with directorial roles at Aon Consulting from 2014 to 2016 and at ICC International Consulting Organization from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, Erdem took on a role emphasizing operational efficiency at App Samurai. Since February 2019, he has been Enterprise Risk Manager at OYAK Mining Metallurgy, overseeing risk management and insurance at its portfolio of companies in steel manufacturing and mining.
